Unregulated Personal Care Providers assist clients with some form of health service. Care is provided in either an institutional setting such as a nursing home or hospital, or in a private home in the community. They are not licensed or regulated by a professional, governmental or regulatory body.
This tool is designed to help you understand the requirements for employment in Canada. It describes what you are required to know and to do. It outlines the competencies, knowledge and skills that you must have to work in Canada.

There is no link between completion of this tool and formal licensure or certification.
